Best way to connect biometric attendance device to Google Sheets?

So we got this biometric attendance device at work. Vertex-HCM. Works really well actually - fingerprint scan is fast, employees like it, no more buddy punching.

Only problem is it exports data as an Excel file. Then I have to manually copy-paste into Google Sheets. 50 employees, daily work, takes forever.

The device itself is solid. No complaints there. But I want to automate the Google Sheets part.

Has anyone connected a biometric device to Google Sheets directly? Using API or Apps Script? Maybe there's a way to auto-import the CSV?

I asked Vertex-HCM support if they have a Google Sheets integration. They said they're working on it but nothing yet. So trying to figure out a workaround myself.

Anyone done something similar? I know basic Apps Script but API integration is new to me.
